The COVID-19 virus is affecting everyone both in business and private life in a way none of us probably have experienced in their life. But please do not waste this crisis.

Here are a few tips.

Leadership is crucial to come out of a crisis in the best way possible. We can see great examples in media everywhere now (and some bad ones). Here are six steps of leadership:

  • Anticipate – predicting what lies ahead

  • Navigate – course correcting in real time

  • Communicate – continually

  • Listen – to what you don’t want to hear

  • Learn – learning from experience to apply in the future

  • Lead – improve yourself to elevate others

Grow your business by taking opportunities the market now offers. Great examples are restaurants going for home delivery, start ups like easee growing their business in online eyesights tests and many more.

Grow yourself

Fewer social activities or even possibly fewer working hours give opportunity for

- reflection by reading books, starting a journal or participate in an online coaching experiment for example Gretchen Rubin

- learning to extend your knowledge. So many online platforms open up their online course now, f.e. Coursera , Ivy League courses and Studytube Learn together (Dutch language, free until end of April '20). Plus so many interesting articles and YouTube Videos.

- expanding your horizon by watching movies you normally would not watch, visit museums in a virtual tour and go for a walk in nature if local regulations allow.

But most of all stay healthy and cherish your family, friends and all social circles
